ALEJANDRO RICO-GÓMEZ (B. 2001) is a multimedia artist who works in Los Angeles, CA. His documentary-photographic projects investigate historical and social myths that compose popular ideas about national identity, migration, and everyday life. These bodies of work are presented as installations that use natural and manmade materials to draw relationships between the physical world and its photographic (mis)representations. Alejandro was raised in Ames, Iowa in a family of immigrants from Querétaro, Mexico, and Soria, Spain. He received his BFA in Fine Arts from the University of Southern California’s Roski School of Fine Arts in 2023.
